Roof Underpurlin to be Supported

One of the items we check for all in all building inspections is the roof structure. We are looking to ensure that the beam sizes are appropriate, spaced correctly and that adequate supports are in place for all beams. This photo, from a home in Fremantle, shows an unsupported underpurlin beam spanning over 5 metres. This under purlin should be suppported at no more than 2.5 metres. The client was able to request the supports be put in place before finalising settlment of the property.
